Thank you for shopping with me at The Fabric Cobbler. I hope you consider a purchase with me because truly small shops are only here if customers seek us out!
Every order is literally super important to a small shop like mine! If you notice, every item is tagged as free shipping. Customers are smart people and I know you compare before purchasing!! Etsy asked shop owners to give free shipping starting the summer of 2019 which really would bankrupt most small shops. Anyone who offers free shipping has simply incorporated that cost into their bottom line. So! If you need a custom listing, please don't hesitate to ask and I will calculate what is best for you! Etsy now insures packages up to a certain amount but if your package is valued higher than that, I always pay the extra.
I always ship with high quality, designer polymailers or USPS provided mailers. I use UPS and USPS to ship but I never use the UPS Ground Saver option as that tends to take a very long time to arrive. I use either UPS Ground 2-5 Day, USPS Ground 2-5 Day, or USPS Priority Mail 2-3 Day, whichever makes sense for your order. If you need next day air, I use UPS and you are welcome to contact me for a price quote.

My reasons for opening a fabric shop: (L to R) Kristal, Liam, and Niklas. L and K are my fraternal twins and N is my singleton. Kristal is transgender, and amazing brave as well as publicly out. Her and her brothers are all of my reasons.

Where does this store ship from?

We are about middle of the state – 45 minutes from the capital, Springfield, and about 3 hours south of Chicago, east of St. Louis, and southwest of Indianapolis.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 7 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 6 weeks. We do NOT exert any control over any postal system in our nation or yours.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Residents of the state of Illinois will be charged sales tax. The rate for our business location is 8.75% and is subject to change based on state and local laws.
If your state or nation outside of Illinois requires tax to be collected, Etsy does that and submits it to the proper office(s).
Do I really get a human when I call The Fabric Cobbler?
Yep. Scarlett answers the phone as much as possible at 217-330-9110 Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Shipping charges add up. Can I get free shipping if I order large quantities?
We have shipping calculated into the cost of our fabric prices because Etsy basically told shops the summer of 2019 that we either put everything at free shipping or go to the bottom of search results. Etsy somehow thinks small business owners can actually afford to not charge shipping costs, at the same time as they raised their commission fees, started charging us for advertising fees that we didn't ask for, and more.
