Interior design is all about creativity. That’s why there are in fact more interior styles than architectural styles. And that is saying something because the designs of buildings have gone through so many transformations for hundreds of years. But inside the buildings and our homes is where the most creativity can be found. Every now and then you come across a style that is perhaps one of the most intriguing you have ever seen. With modern designs and materials, something called the cosmic interior style is coming to the forefront.

Entering The Home Or Entering The Cosmos? Cosmic Interior Style
It has reinvented the color black and given pale shades new life. It's exactly what you think it is, it's an interior style of the home that makes it look like the universe has just been captivated inside your living space. But what kind of ways does it do this?
Conducive to hanging out
Look around the contemporary home and you will be drowned in neutral colors. The walls especially are in beige, grey or white. Is anyone else finding this kind of boring? Well, the cosmic interior style wants you to take it easy and don’t get so worked up. Black wallpaper with stars and little hints of rainbow effects from far away galaxies will help you do just that. If you don’t want your main rooms such as the living and dining rooms to be so dark, this kind of wallpaper is great for bedrooms and retreats like a garden house. Putting a lamp in the corners of the room give you just enough unnatural light to keep the room practical at night. The color and pattern designs make the room feel more chilled and laid back, great for when you just want to hangout on the sofa or in a beanbag chair.

Ornaments of exploration
The Victorian Era was glorious for home design. It truly was the most powerful, ornate and stylish kind of home design that has perhaps been experienced. One of the biggest things that stands out about this style is the great use of ornaments. Ornaments are little pieces around the home that are standalone meaning they can be picked up and moved anywhere. They are a brilliant chance to be creative. For example, you could put some small rocket ship ornaments around the house and continue the style in every room. How about an astronaut that hangs at the side of your central light fixture? Maybe you could have a planet on a stand sitting on the dresser of your bedroom?
Powerful yet iconic
When looking at pictures of the universe, we’re always drawn to clusters of gas giants. This kind of epic and iconic imagery can be implemented in your kitchen but probably not how you expect. Check out the Granite Countertops options but more specifically the ‘Black Cosmic’ style. With horizontal marbling that resembles far away galaxies and nebulae, this is a bold and powerful addition to your kitchen.
There’s no limit to your imagination and thus no limit to what you can achieve for your interior design. The cosmos style is catching on because it has finally shown how to use black in the contemporary home.
