Five Ways To Wake Up Happier
1. Love Your Bedroom
The final thoughts before you fall asleep will affect your dreams and morning. If your room is cluttered, looks tired, and you are not happy with the design, you are more likely to get up moody in the morning. Look at your space and make it your own. Get your bedroom to work fo you, install clever blinds and blackout curtains, and make sure that you have a comfortable bed and mattress. Talk to World of Renovation to get help with choosing the color scheme, style, and storage solutions. An ambient atmosphere can improve your mood in the morning when you first look around.
2. Add Your Music
If you would like to wake up in a better mood, you might also create your morning playlist. If you have a Bluetooth speaker, you can connect it to your phone and listen to some relaxing music first thing in the morning, instead of the annoying sound of the alarm.
3. Start with a Positive Quote

If you are never enthusiastic about mornings, it is time to add a positive quote on your wall to see when you wake up. Get a stencil design or talk to an interior designer to find out more about display units and screens in your room.
4. Get a Coffee Machine By the Bed
In case you are useless until you get your morning caffeine fix, you can buy a retro coffee machine that you can install on your bedside chest. (Be sure that no small children will be around the hot coffee though!) This way, you can enjoy a lovely cup of coffee in bed, and start the day better. You could even get an alarm clock that wakes you up as soon as your coffee is ready. There is no need for bribing family members any more.
5. Prayer
Wake up with praise on your lips or in your heart and thank your Maker. He has blessed you with so much. When you wake up remembering how He has blessed you, how can you not have joy? You have so much to be thankful for: access to the internet to be able to read this right now, a roof over your head, a place to sleep. You are alive and have time on this earth to make a difference today. Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” So even if yesterday was horrible, today is a new morning. God has new mercy today. Be happy and make the best of it. People who pray and read the Bible at night before falling asleep report that they sleep much better than ever before. If you have any fear or worry, the Bible will reassure you, telling you a variation of “do not fear” often enough that there is one for every day of the year!
Starting every morning well has several benefits for the long term. Make sure you start focusing on the positives, and create a bedroom that makes you feel safe and balanced. Try prayer to declutter your mind, and add a bit of luxury to feel better when you look around your bedroom in the morning.
