We all need a good clean up from time to time; it promotes healthier living and simply makes us a bit more proud of our surroundings. And let’s face it, anyone who lives in a house is guaranteed to have a lot of clutter around. Whether it’s all boxed up in the shed, or strewn all over the floor, there’s a lot of space you could be putting to better use! Sometimes these things can be replaced, donated to charity, or simply thrown out. Let’s focus on the latter option here; it’s time to give your house the clear out it’s deserved for months now. Here’s some tips on making sure you get everything sorted into the organized piles you deserve.

File the Papers
Everyone has records on their history, whether they be financial or work related. And thus, it’s definitely a good idea to keep them once you find them. Organize a sorting system for any documents you do come across, as it’s these records that can be used to contest any charges you’re being made to pay or add value to something if you’re willing to sell it (aka the house!).
Of course you don’t have to keep everything, simply the most indate pieces dating back three years or so. Tax papers should be kept for seven years. If you feel the information is pertinent, keep it, and if not, make sure you thoroughly destroy it. You never know what a bit of information could mean to someone rooting through the trash!
Keep What’s Valuable!
If you have a whole attic full of treasures, and maybe a little trash, be sure to open up the hatch when you next get the chance and actually see what you’ve got stashed up there. There can be some real hidden gems that need discovering. Putting them on eBay once the house is cleared of clutter is simply a reward for your time! You can even get valuations on them if they seem a little more shiny and priceless than the rest. The person telling you the value can tell you the best way to sell these items if you are willing to part with them. It could be a live or online auction.
Don’t Clean Up By Half Measures
When you’re cleaning out your house, it’d be a good idea to do it all in one go. Schedule this for when you have a whole day or two to tackle it. When we split up our need to clear something out, we can miss areas and become more and more bogged down by the fact that we haven't completed it yet. When you begin, have a good snack and then get to work; it’s time to ride out your energy until it’s done!
You’re going to need plenty of space to put all of your unwanted belongings, and the regular bin just isn’t going to cut it. Instead, get someone else to take the trash away for you. Choose a skip bin hire company to make any trips to the junkyard a lot easier, and cheaper, on you.
Clearing out your house is well worth the time and effort when you consider the payoff. You can generate a much cleaner living space, with no dust to interrupt your sleep. And you can get good money too.
