Is it time for a switch up in your home? The answer is most likely yes. There’s always something that needs to be switched up in the home. We as humans are plagued with being indecisive. Once we get what we want, we instantly find something better. In other areas of life, this might not be a good thing. But when it comes to your home, it is great. Your home can truly look amazing if you put the time and effort into it. This year so far we’ve seen some amazing interior designs, and extension ideas that we’re loving. So if you’re looking to switch up your home a little, here are our ideas for you.

Extensions

Extensions are something a lot of people aren’t keen on due to the hassle of them. Home life is often disrupted somewhat, and in a lot of the cases planning and permission is needed. But let us fill you with the positives to change your mind. For one, there’s soooo many different types of extensions you can get. One we’re loving at the minute are glass extensions. It really does make your house look amazing. It is that modern edgy look that everyone is craving at the minute. It brings in all natural light, and can be turned into absolutely anything you want it to. If you’ve got a nice view to look at, a home office or chill out room might be a good idea! Not to mention the value it will add to your home. It really will stun anyone coming into your home. Plus, they’re a lot easier and quicker to sort than normal brick extensions. Of course, if you were looking for something a bit more normal, then a brick extension to create an extra room or bathroom will also add thousands to your home in the future.

Interior Design

There were some really amazing and crazy interior design ideas in 2017, and the new year is already no different. One that is starting to creep in already is a sort of earthy interior design pattern, with a hint of the hygge interior that was so huge last year. Simplistic is key, with whites, greens, and browns being the focus here. White walls, with green features such as a table or lamp etc. with brown furniture. It is simplistic, yet beautiful. A lot of people are choosing to follow this look and fill the home with natural green colours such as plants. A sort of nature filled vibe that we’re totally loving.

The Garden

The garden is soon going to become an area for socialisation, or at least we hope it will. There’s plenty you can do to make sure this happens. The first is getting yourself an area where you know everyone can relax and chill out. It might mean installing some decking or a patio maybe. This shouldn’t be too expensive to do, as long as the area isn’t too big. Then all you need to do is furnish it. You can follow the hygge way and be a bit more simplistic by installing a hammock. Imagine swaying in the breeze in your comfy hammock! Obviously garden furniture will be needed as well for when guests come round.
