Let's face it we could all do with a bit of extra money from time to time. Whether it's to bolster the monthly budget or to squirrel away for an important occasion like a wedding, or birthday. Happily, it may not be as hard as you think to generate this extra income when you find yourself in need. You can even find some lesser-known ways of bringing some more money, in my post below.

Walk your neighbors' dogs
You have probably heard a lot about finding a side hustle that makes your money. Many of these revolve around doing something online such as virtual assistant work, or answering surveys. However, what if you would prefer to do something in real work, something that means you don't have to be stuck behind a desk? Well, then dog walking for your neighbors is the perfect solution!
You will likely find that with people's busy lives, your services as a dog walker will be highly in demand. The great thing about using this strategy to generate extra money is that it can be a lot of fun as well, not to mention provide you with important exercise. You can even take more than one dog out at a time to maximize your income. Get started by asking friends, posting flyers, or even listing your services on your local neighborhood app.
Sell your used car
Often one of the most valuable possessions that we own is our vehicle, and so it makes sense to sell it, buy a cheaper one, and pocket the difference. However, many people are unaware of the true value their used car is worth. The good news is you can go to sites like this one from Edmunds and get an instant appraisal of your used vehicle worth. It's super easy too as all you need to do is enter your license plate, VIN, or year/make/model information.
Then once you have this information, you will be able to decide on whether to sell up and claim the money your used car is worth and put any extra cash you make towards other important things in your life like special occasions or vacations.
Get crafty
Another great, and lesser-known method of making some extra cash is to use your craft skills. Indeed, there are two options to consider here. The first, more well-known option, is to make items by hand and then sell them, either online or at craft fairs.
However, the less obvious choice, which is to sell patterns or video tutorials on how to make things online can be far more effective and profitable. The reason this latter method is so effective is that it uses that passive income model which means you create a product ( like a pattern) once and then can sell it over and over again. Thereby gaining the most income from the least amount of time and effort.
The best sites to sell passive craft products on include Etsy and eBay. Although platforms like Craftsy can also be good for tutorials.
