As your family expands and your pockets seem to grow emptier, that is just that way it seems to go. Can anybody else relate to this? Your food bills, household costs and daily expenses seem to increase by the bucket load and your income isn’t getting any bigger in order to help you to cover the costs. Now, there are two things you could do when you get to this stage in your life. The first one would be to panic and rush around like a maniac trying to turn off all the lights and lower the electricity bill. The second one would be to take action and be in control of your money for once and for all. I would highly recommend the latter! There is no point in worrying about money, when you could be spending that precious time doing something about it. Imagine if you used that time to do something creative and be your own boss when it comes to your finances. Here are a few tips to get you going on your journey to wealth and contentment.

Blogging is Big Business
The market for blogging businesses are increasing by the day and the door is wide open for anybody to do this, especially if you’re a busy mom. You can easily start a blog from the comfort of your own home and build up a following of people just like you. Find your unique selling point as a blogger, but don’t go too fancy. People who read blogs like to learn about real people's lives, not an embellished exaggeration of the perfect person. We all have struggles, so use this to your advantage and use your blog as a platform to gain support and help others.
There is no denying that blogging can become a huge money maker for you if you seek the correct help from companies. You can become affiliated with businesses that relate to your blog content and you can maximise your income by advertising for them. Paid advertisements are one of the ways you can make the most money from blogging, but make sure you’re selling something you truly believe in. Honesty is the best policy when it comes to blogging, as you want your posts to come from the heart. Don’t be afraid to seek help and advice when you need it though. You might have a friend that is an expert on a topic you don’t know much about, so have them write a few things for you now and then too. Collaboration is totally allowed, you can’t do everything after all!
Borrow a Buck
If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to pay a bill or replace a broken washing machine you can do a couple of things to get you by. Often time is not on our side when it comes to unexpected outgoings, so don’t worry. There are places you can go to get yourself a short-term, quick-fix loan so check it out now. You will be able to pay a bill quickly and then have time to work out paying it back later.
Don’t be afraid to ask a close family member or friend for a hand. Often people are more than happy to help, but if they don’t know you’re having a problem they won’t be able to offer their services to you. Only ask people that are close to you if you want to borrow some money and make sure they are in the financial position to do so as well. You will find that people won’t want to see you struggle so if you have good relationships with them you will be able to work out a plan between you.
Save and Sell
Your house is most probably home to some of your biggest opportunities for money-making and you didn’t even know it. When was the last time you cleared out your wardrobes and decluttered your kid’s playroom? Open up an online selling account and watch the money fly in. You can sell anything from unwanted clothes to unused toys and you will be surprised at how many people will be interested in your old stuff.
There are an abundance of online websites and apps which can help you to kick-start your selling project, so find the one that works for you. Maybe your little one got a trampoline for their birthday but they haven’t used it since the day they got it. Snap a picture and put it on an online auction site, someone might even be able to come and collect it that day. You will be making money from your unwanted belongings and you will have a tidier home as a result.
Savvy With Surveys
I bet you throw away all of your receipts and discard all those promotional emails you receive. Little do you know there is money to be made from these! Many companies offer heavy discounts and coupons for customers who complete surveys and enter competitions. Take a day to scroll through those abandoned emails and make yourself some money on the side! You could build up a collection of money-off coupons for your local grocery store and find your food shopping bill halved for the month. Hop onto any loyalty schemes you can and earn points for your in store purchases too.
There are many market research companies out there who will reward you with shopping vouchers for filling in surveys too. All you have to do is fill in your opinion on potential advertising schemes or let them know your weekly purchases and you could be earning up to fifty dollars extra each month. It seems like a small amount now, but it can really add up and help you to contribute to smaller costs in your home.
You don’t have to leave the comfort of your home in order to make some extra cash for your family. Find out which one works for you and get saving as soon as today! Unleash your creativity in a blog or take time to declutter your home and sell your unwanted goods. Whatever you choose to do, you can be satisfied and content with your financial situation sooner than you think.
