Saves Me Time As A Homeschool Mom
As a homeschooling mom of eight, I have learned that I can't do it all. Some things I need to “hire a teacher” for. Economics is one of these. I need to spend “table time” teaching my younger children with math manipulatives or phonics learning. When I am doing that, my middle school age daughter, Miranda can learn Economics on the laptop with a teacher talking to her on the pre-recorded video and giving examples, etc. If I didn't have Mr. D Math Junior Economics, my homeschool day would be so much longer and I wouldn't get as many homemaking chores done.

What Does Mr. D Math Junior Economics Teach?
Miranda is not far from us so I can hear what she is learning. Basically, Mr. D Math Junior Economics teaches everything you would want your child to know about economics like balancing a checkbook, supply and demand, and so much more.
The Teacher Is Easy To Listen To
Her teacher's voice is easy to listen to and every once in a while the teacher's dog will give a quick bark. In my opinion, this makes the teacher more real and relatable and makes sure my daughter is paying attention. I have overheard the teacher talking about real life examples with online shopping, shopping in person, keeping track of expenses on a register and more.
Self-Paced Online Classes
Mr. D Junior Economics is one of Mr. D Math's self-paced online classes. Since it is a pre-recorded class, Miranda can push pause or back up or go forward as needed. We can take a few days off and come back to it. It's so nice to not have to be worried about being on time for the class!
Mr. D Math Junior Economics Has Some Hands-On Activities
The curriculum is “down to earth” and easy to understand and follow. There are a few activities to do that are hands-on, so this curriculum does have some printables that the students can print, cut out and use to enable better learning.
Teaches Decision Making Skills
For one activity, Miranda had to decide what she would bring with her on a make-believe trip. This helped her to think ahead at what would be a wise choice. She had to keep narrowing her list until there were not many items she could have with her. Then, the teacher explained what would have been a wise decision and what would not have been and why.
Your Student Can Make An Avatar
One thing the student can do in the Mr. D Math Junior Economics is create their own avatar. It can be changed as often as you want. If Miranda is wearing a blue shirt, she likes her avatar to wear a blue shirt.
Bonus – You Can Hold A Kitten And Learn Economics At The Same Time!
This cute kitten Miranda is holding is named Monty. He is her learning buddy. He does not come with the curriculum. But how nice that you can learn from the comfort of your own home holding a kitten, other pet, stuffed animal, or whatever, right? You could even be wearing pajamas if you prefer that!
Why We love Mr. D Math Junior Economics
I am so glad my daughter is learning so much while her siblings are as well. This is one way I can “get more done in less time.” Thanks to Mr. D Math!
Miranda likes that she can change her avatar as often as she wants. Miranda says, “The teacher points out some things about economics that I never thought were economics. So I am learning a lot. I also like that she plays games.”
