Product Review of a Magnetic Business Card

I was sent a complementary magnetic business card package to use for my home business as a product review. Magnetic business cards are great if you have online customers so they remember how to find you again. Read on for more details.

Product Review of a Magnetic Business Card from Aura Print

You may know that I am a “work at home mom.” But did you know that I actually have seven businesses or “side hustles!” They are my blog, Etsy shop, ebay store, author, craft show vendor, auction resale and affiliate marketing! The challenge for me is how do I get a reader or buyer to know about my other businesses?

I love the use of business cards for this purpose. As I am an extrovert and “love to see people,” my favorite way to do this is in person when I meet someone or at my craft show booth. But, I also send a business card along with every Etsy or ebay purchase along with our products. With cardstock business cards I felt like my customers were losing my business cards and that it was not as effective as it could have been.

My own children (I have eight) love magnets. We have them all over our refrigerator and dishwasher! If we are ever at a booth show where a vendor hands us a magnetic business card, we get excited! We go home and put them up right away. My kids will arrange them into patterns and designs. Sometimes, they will make a rainbow out of the different colored magnets. I thought to myself, If I had magnetic business cards, my customers could always find me easily, even months or years down the road.

What I noticed about Aura Print

 

All The Printing Space

I found a company that sells business cards and offers the option of magnetic ones. It's called Aura Print. I just wanted my logo and business color on my cards, but there are many other ways to make them. I love that there was plenty of text space for all of my information! Most people contact me with special orders or requests through my email so I felt that should be the most important piece of information on the card and have it front and centered.

Next, I really wanted my clients and readers to have access to all of my businesses. How to do it? With links to where they can find it all.

• “Blog” covers my blogging job.
• “Etsy shop” covers my Etsy shop and craft sales as mort of them are the same products. It also covers part of author as my sewing and DIY tutorials as well as digital printables and wall art are here.
• “Ebay store” covers my ebay store as well as auction resale as this is where many of my online auction resale items are offered for sale.
• “Amazon Influencer Page” covers my authored books that sell on Amazon as well as products I love and recommend. If someone clicks those links and makes a purchase, Amazon gives me a tiny percentage of the sale.

So now I have a way for people to find me and my products in multiple ways, all on one little card that they can have in their kitchen or somewhere else and look me up when needed.

 

The Customer Service

I was contacted through email after placing my order so that I could give things a final look before printing. I like that they do that.

 

The Packaging

I love that my products arrived in a reasonably quick amount of time and that they came in plastic holders, which I was not expecting. Included in my package was a smaller holder that I could keep in my purse to hand out in person. Already, I have given out my cards as we just had our local county fair and I was able to see several people I had not seen in some time.

 

The Product

I am so happy with the look of my business cards. It has my logo and the exact color I wanted as a background. It looks great to me.

The Magnet Really Works

When I opened the product, I noticed that each card is bent a little and I was a bit concerned that it would not stay stuck to my refrigerator. But I tried it out and am happy to report that it attaches well, stays flat and doesn't come off unless you take it off. My kids have already moved it several times and it's still working well!

 

My Sales Have Increased!

When I took them to my local county fair over the last weekend, I would say, “here is my newest business card” as I handed them to someone I was saying hello to. The people that received them smiled and happily accepted them. After the fair, I was curious to see the response. It is only Wednesday and already things are happening!

Now, I am not sure if my sales have increased because I handed them out to people I know and they want to help out my large family or if it is because they are magnetic and if they were not, the card would have been forgotten. I am not certain. But I do know that in the past, when I have handed out my cardstock business cards at the same county fair a few years ago, I did not get the same results.

Is it because everybody and their brother has a cardstock business card, but when you have a magnetic business card people take your business more seriously? Hmm.

What is very cool to me is that my sales have increased across all my platforms. My blog views went up, both Etsy and ebay sales increased and I could see when shipping that the addresses were to the people I handed the cards out to. Also, my Amazon Influencer clicks went up and I sold a few more of my gratitude journals through Amazon.

So, I do feel that I have achieved what I desired to do with this product. People are remembering me and finding me in more than one way. Personally, I feel that giving the direct links are better than giving social media links on the cards because on each social media platform, you can only give one link, and I usually just link those to my blog where you have to click a few times to find everything. This way of marketing gets my customer to the desired location instantly.

I have been putting the magnetic cards in our shipped packages, but it's too early to tell if that is effective.

 

Would I recommend them to you?

I highly recommend Aura Print because I know you will be happy with the shipping, customer service and your final product. I hope it will increase your sales as well, but it can only do that if you buy the magnetic business cards AND get them into people's hands or mailboxes!
