Spring To Your Next Spring Clean

Quite a few homeowners dislike winter as it's not a great season for home comforts. First of all, it can often be a battle to keep the whole home warm and insulated. But that’s just the start of all the usual winter problems. During the winter, a home can feel very stuffy as there is little chance to open the windows and air it properly. As a result, lots of people are very keen on spring cleaning their whole property once the weather starts to improve.

Even though we are still in the middle of winter right now, it’s already worth looking ahead to your forthcoming spring clean. Now is the best time to get things ready and prepare so that when the time comes, your huge clean won’t drag on for too long. After some thoughtful preparations, some people only take one day to spring clean their home!

So, ready to get started? Here are the preparations you should make now.

[ctt template=”4″ link=”ua950″ via=”yes” ]It's never to early to start making a plan for your next spring clean. Now is the best time to get things ready and prepare so that when the time comes, your huge clean won’t drag on for too long. [/ctt]

Get New Equipment

If you haven’t updated your cleaning equipment in some time, it’s worth doing so now before you get started. If you don’t, then you might find that an important item, such as your vacuum cleaner, is broken.  Then, you will end up wasting time shopping for a new one, when you really should be cleaning. So, if you think it’s time to treat yourself to the best bagged vacuum out there, then it’s worth seeing what you can afford now. It’s also a good idea to get any supplies that you might need now as well, like vacuum bags and cleaning products. If you make your own cleaning products, you should start making a new batch now so that you don’t run out during your spring clean.

Set Your Cleaning Date

You should mark your chosen day for your spring clean in your diary right now. That way, there is no way you will double book yourself and give yourself an excuse to get out of your huge clean!

Make A List

It’s worth writing a list as well. This should include everything that you want to do during your spring clean. This list will keep you organized and will prevent you from forgetting to do anything. When you write your list, imagine your home and what you will need to pay particular attention to. Add these high-priority items to the top of your list so that you get them over and done with straight away.

Start A Playlist

While you are working on your cleaning list, it’s worth starting a Spotify playlist as well. There’s no denying that cleaning is a very boring and laborious task, and doing a whole day of it might be enough to drive you insane! So, it’s worth putting together a playlist of your favorite tunes to help you get through it. You might also want to find some podcasts or audiobooks that you can listen to while you clean.

If you prepare for your spring clean now, it won’t be such a huge task to tackle!
