If you struggle to sleep at night then you will know how horrible this can be. At times, you may find it hard to unwind and relax, and you may also find it hard to wake up in the morning as a result. [ctt template=”4″ link=”dHhOT” via=”yes” ]It is more than possible for you to break the cycle of waking in the night. Here are some top tips that will help you to get a better night's sleep.[/ctt]

Better Night’s Sleep – Here's How To Get It

Your Body’s Natural Sleep Cycle

You have to make sure that you get in sync with your body’s own natural sleep cycle. This is one of the most important strategies when it comes to sleeping better. If you are able to get in a good routine then you will feel better as a result and you will also feel way more energized as well. When you are able to get yourself into a routine, falling asleep at night will be easier. If you find it hard to get to sleep at night, you will want to sleep in. However, if you wake up at the same time every day rather than having a lie in, then this will work wonders for you. You’d be surprised at how easy it is for you to get in a good routine this way. If you can’t sleep because your mattress is old, then Foam Nights mattresses are a great option.

Light Exposure

Melatonin occurs naturally in the body and light exposure can affect this in a way. Melatonin helps you to regulate your own sleep/wake cycle. The fact is that your brain secretes way more melatonin when it is dark outside and this is what makes you feel tired. During the day, it helps to expose yourself to sunlight so your body knows the difference better between dark and light. You can have your coffee outside or you can even choose to have your breakfast by a nice, sunny window. The light on your face will help you to wake up and when you spend more time outside, you can keep your energy levels up during the day as well. When night time comes along, try and avoid any screens two hours before your bedtime. You also need to avoid reading from backlit devices and be sure that you also keep the lights down as well during that time.

Workout During the Day

People who work out on a regular basis tend to sleep way better at night and they also feel less tired during the day. Regular exercise improves any symptoms of insomnia and even help with sleep apnea as well. The more you work out, the more benefits you get when the time does come for you to go to bed. This is just one of the many things that you have to think about because every choice that you make during the day will have an effect on your sleeping routine and even how much you are able to unwind at night as well. Get your workout done at least three hours before you go to sleep to achieve best results.

So there are things that you can do to try and sleep better at night, and by following the above tips, you can be sure to sleep more soundly than ever before.
