Do you ever find that you’ve got a pile of jobs at home and no time to actually get around to them? We have incredibly busy lives, and work combined with family responsibilities can leave you with very little time to update or maintain your home.
As with everything else, this means that you need to deliberately set aside time. So put a weekend aside or, if you can, take a day off so you can have a long weekend and invest that time into your home. Here are a few updates and improvements that you can get done within a day or two.

Painting the Walls
One of the quickest and easiest ways to make a massive change to your interior is to change the color and decor of the walls. Even if you like the current paint job, you will find that the paint might have been marked or chipped over time, so it’s good to keep some of the original paint and top it up from time to time.
Another option is to add wallpaper. Wallpaper can work well to quickly create a feature wall, as you can use highly decorative wallpaper to draw the eye. Or you can use plainer designs and wallpaper the whole room.
When choosing between paint and wallpaper, think about the design you want, as well as whether you plan on doing it yourself or hiring someone to do it for you.
Improving Your Backyard
Another way to quickly boost the appeal of your home and get more use out of it is to focus on the backyard. Over the winter, it’s easy for your backyard to get shabby as you aren’t out there very often. But as we approach the spring, this is the ideal time to do some quick landscaping.
For example, you can upgrade the look of your backyard really quickly by using garden pebbles. Pebbles are great for garden borders, as quick pathways, or covering parts of your backyard that would otherwise just be dirt and weeds.
It’s also really easy to add pebbles. Just buy the pebbles and, with the help of a wheelbarrow and a good shovel, move them where you need them. It’s hard work, but you make a huge difference in a short time.
Updating the Kitchen
Upgrading the kitchen might seem like a massive job, but you can actually get it done really quickly. Rather than trying to completely rip it out and start again, focus on the aesthetics.
Removing cupboard doors doesn’t take a lot of time or skill, and most people can do it themselves. You can then switch out the kitchen cupboard doors for new designs. Make sure to add door handles as well.
This is a really quick and easy way to update the kitchen. If you’re renting your home, you can either ask to make these changes and keep the old doors around or make smaller changes like adding cupboard door covers to make them look newer.
