If you were asked to consider the most important room in your house, what would you choose? We assume you’d choose either the living area or kitchen, maybe even the bedroom if you value your sleep. This is because the communal love of the family occurs in these homes for the most part. It’s unlikely you’d choose your bathroom, because honestly what families use that space to socialize? However, if you didn’t have a bathroom in your home you’d certainly have issues, while no bedroom, kitchen or living room (while undesirable) does not necessarily mean your house becomes completely lacking in function.

Maybe we need to show our bathrooms a little more love. You can do this by changing the design of the space from time to time. Spending a little ‘me time’ in your bathroom is certainly enhanced when you have beautiful surroundings, and it can also make your grooming habits more hygienic, interesting, and generally organized.

Here are some design changes that might work for you;

Make A Wetroom

Of course, this forgoes the use of a bath, so if you value that then you might want to try this in another lavatory area of your home. However, if you have the space to, then crafting a wet room can be excellent. This means using waterproofed tiles around the floor and walls to allow for an entire room to be converted into a shower space. You can also install a toilet and sink at one end of this room away from the shower if you’d like. It’s important to clean these fixtures and tiles often to prevent mold from occurring. However, the full scope of the floored tiles allows for an easy cleaning process, as pressure washing or wiping down the entire surface of the area requires nothing but disinfectant, a mop and a hose. Convenience abounds in wet rooms, so installing one might be a great idea for you and your family.

Change The Tiles

Sometimes simply switching up the aesthetic is more than enough. The design your room ascribes to can often be changed by either alternating or full changing the bathroom tiles. Be sure to use the correct grouts for the job, and apply it wholeheartedly to the new surface area you have cut out and cleaned from the previous design. Then, choose your design. Do you hope to simulate a Roman bathhouse with smaller tiles? How about a clean and minimal light beige shaped tiles? You might choose a wacky pattern inkeeping with your zany personality. The choices are yours, and they can truly upgrade the aesthetic of the room if well applied.

Air Filter

We know. Sometimes bathrooms can smell, or the smell of cleaning chemicals can overpower. Air filters have reduced in size to the point where they can happily sit on your shelf and not require much maintenance to clean. Sometimes upgrading the air quality in this room can be all the change you need – as you’ll certainly likely feel it the difference breath to breath.

With these tips, we’re certain that your bathroom-going career will be improved significantly from here on out.
