When we decide to decorate our homes, we tend to lay focus on certain rooms in particular, but it's time to stop neglecting bathroom design.

We’ll spend hours poring over our bedrooms, lounges, and kitchens. It’s not all too surprising that other rooms that are used less frequently can sometimes be a little neglected in comparison. The bathroom tends to be one of these lesser focused on spaces. However, it’s extremely important that you do dedicate a fair amount of time to your bathroom design. People will see your property as a whole and you don’t want one room letting your down! You also need to make sure that your bathroom suits your personal tastes and is both functional and aesthetically pleasing – this will make it a nicer space to use. At the end of the day, you are going to use this room on a daily basis, so you need to make it perfect! Here are a few ideas to get you started!

Invest in a Vanity

You’ll be surprised just how much storage space you need in a bathroom. Drawers will work wonders for making the space look more minimalist and less cluttered. They will also make your bathroom a safer space, as you will have less risk of tripping over containers and other bits and bobs that would otherwise be scattered about the floor. But why not consider a vanity? Not only does this provide some storage space, but you could also get a mirror (which will come in extremely useful). If your vanity doesn't come with a sink, you could  have one installed in the top! There are a range of vanities out there, so no matter what kind of style you’re interested in – from a Modern Bathroom Vanity to a more traditional bathroom vanity – there will be something out there to suit your needs and tastes.

Consider Tiles

Tiles are a great addition to any bathroom wall. They’re much more waterproof than a standard wall and will protect your property in general. But they can also serve as a prominent design aspect of the room. They come in all sorts of colors and patterns, so you can use them to brighten up the room or add a personal touch.

Accessories

Many bathroom basics that you use when using the bathroom can be made into design accessories. Consider something as simple as towels. These are present in almost any bathroom, as we use them to dry ourselves after washing. But you can also choose bold colors or patterns and store them in racks or other storage systems to make them a prominent design focus. They can add a pop of color or brightness to an otherwise neutral or plain space. They can also be changed regularly if you decide to change your color scheme!

As you can see, there are various different aspects of bathroom spaces that you can focus on from a design perspective. So it’s time to stop neglecting this area! Put a little more thought into your bathroom design today!
