Jute rugs, also known as earth rugs, are really popular and I have been curious to try one. I was offered an opportunity to do a product review with Ozark Cabin Décor LLC and here is my opinion on an oval printed jute rug I selected.

Selecting A Printed Jute Rug
My kitchen and dining room are both decorated with my favorite animal, cats. I was hoping to find a cat rug and the Ozark Cabin Décor LLC website did not disappoint me!
There were a few to choose from. I really liked the Cat/Grasshopper Oval Patch Rug as I felt the darker colors would complement my cupboards. The 20″ x 30″ size was just right for in front of my sink.
Beautiful To Look At
It brings me joy to see a new cat décor addition to my kitchen! If you look close, you can see the braids that someone took the time to make and stitch together. Little did they know they were making this for me. I am a crafter/sewer myself and I appreciate all the time and effort they made to beautify my home. These earth rugs are handcrafted and hand-stenciled right here in the USA.
Low Maintenance
I have been amazed. My youngest child, age 4, has already spilled drinks, dropped food, and spilled sand (that's supposed to stay in the sand box) on it. The jute rug seems to absorb dirt and stains and it still doesn't show any wear and tear.
The only thing I added to this rug was a non-slip pad underneath since we have our large family of ten plus friends and family walking in our kitchen and I don't want any accidents.
Easy To Clean
Each printed jute rug is made of 100% natural jute plant fiber, which grows naturally in water in Bangladesh, so it doesn't hurt to get it wet. You can spot clean jute rugs with mild soap and water or gently wash them in the bathtub. After it has been soaked and rinsed, you can roll it up tightly to squeeze out excess water and lay it flat to dry. You can place it on a clothes line or on a bush to dry instead. But do not machine wash or dry it.
Pet Friendly
You could also put your pet food and water on it. My cat likes my new jute rug. Ozark Cabin Décor LLC has dog-bone shaped rugs, cat shaped, and fish shaped rugs/bowl mats for pets that look nice.
Conclusion
I am very happy, on a daily basis, with my new cat rug. Now I am starting to look around my house thinking, “wouldn't this space look nice with a printed jute rug there?”
A printed welcome rug would look great under my covered porch too. You wouldn't want to leave an earth rug outside without cover (as rain and constantly being wet can cause mildew), but you can put them in places that get wet like the bathroom, front entryway and kitchen. They are also flame retardant, so you can put them in front of a fireplace.
Just to warn you, once you get one, you will think of getting the next one. I love these rugs! They are also eco-friendly, 100% natural, & biodegradable as well. I hope you will click on their website to take a look at all of their products as they do carry more than rugs.
