Changing the way your home looks can be one of the best things you do to transform how it feels to you. Suddenly, you go from hating the exterior to actually enjoying the approach to your home.

What’s more, when you upgrade the facade, you also improve the quality. You can implement ideas that you only dreamed of in the past.

So, what should you do to upgrade your home’s facades in a way that will rock your world?

Add Textured Wall Accents

First, you’ll want to add textured wall accents. These are ideal when using materials like reclaimed wood, brick, and cement.

Textured wall accents are like a way to add architectural flourishes without spending a lot of money on an architect. You can simply add them to corners and edges where appropriate and immediately change the way your property looks and feels.

Use Modern House Numbers

Another approach is to update your home’s numbering. It sounds so simple, but it can have a tremendous effect on how it appears to people walking by (or you when you get back after a busy day).

For example, you could upgrade your property with bold, oversized numbers made from premium materials, like stainless steel. Or you could complement your home’s lighting by adding illuminated LEDs.

If your number is on your mailbox, you could upgrade that, too. Just changing it a little bit can radically transform the way it appears and make it more likely you’ll get your actual mail.

Change The Siding

If you want something even more impactful, residential siding replacement can also help. This essentially repaints your entire property and gives it a new feel.

Siding is a great option if your house has a lot of exposed brickwork or pebbledash. These finishes were used in the past to save on building costs, but they aren’t always the most attractive and can make your home look monolithic. However, modern vinyl paneling changes all this and makes the entire property look so much more attractive.

Add Window Upgrades

If you have a higher budget, you might also consider adding architectural window upgrades. These embellishments change the character of your property in a fundamental way and can complement other external changes.

Many home windows can wind up looking dated. But larger windows or bay windows can make a significant difference, opening up your facade and making the entire property feel so much grander than it is. You could also explore adding frosting to ground-floor or bathroom windows for extra privacy without the need to reduce incoming natural light.

Apply Fresh Exterior Paint

Another tactic that can work wonders is fresh exterior paint. Adding epoxy-based products (or other paints suitable for outdoor use) can have a dramatic impact.

Applying fresh exterior paint on ship-laps, for instance, can immediately improve its appearance. You can turn a peeling, dilapidated mess into something that really makes a difference in the overall appeal of your home in an afternoon.

So there you have it: some of the home exterior upgrades that will rock your world.
