Get Your Home Sparkling Clean In A Flash
A person who isn't really a homemaker may not be clued in as to how you can easily transform a home. Actually, when talking to any homeowner in general, transforming a home to “sparkling clean” may not seem easy.
When it comes to a home, a lot of the things a person could do are clouded by the pure stress and anxiety of actually owning a home. On the one side of the coin, a person wants to try and maintain the home as much as he or she can, and on the other… there just isn't enough time to do it. Then the money factor comes in, and the condition of the home stays the same for another few months.
But what if we were to tell you that you could get your home sparkling clean in a flash? No, you don’t have to move home, and no, you don’t have to ruin your bank account doing so. Just follow the simple tips that we’ve got below for you to put the sparkle back into your home! Keep on reading to find out more.
The Changes You Should Have Made Long Ago
There are some things in life that we just put off, until one day we can put it off no longer. And when it comes to the home, this is definitely something that we do. Although your home might have been brand spanking new at one point, that doesn’t mean that over the months or years that you’ve been in it, that you haven’t put a few kinks in the armor as of yet. So, for this section, we’re going to talk about the simple spruce ups that your home is missing at the minute.
- Carpet
The first is your carpet, which will no doubt have been through the wars. Countless spills, shoe stains, and whatever else might have worked its way into your carpet could still be there now. Stains in particular can just make you feel as though your home is so tacky.
Why not think about getting your carpet steam cleaned? From some shops, you can rent a piece of equipment that will do this for you. Or you can get a team of people to come out and do this professionally for you. What you will be left with afterwards, is a perfect carpet that’s full of life again! It really can make your home feel so fresh.
2. Furniture
Another change you should definitely think about making, is sorting out any furniture that has stains, chips, rips or holes or has just become a little rundown. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to go out and buy new everything for this.
Say, for example, you have a leather sofa which is not very old, and it has scratches and stains on it, you can get leather sofa cleaner, and re-conditioner, that can smooth out any impurities, lift dirt, and make it seem as though you bought it yesterday.
As for chipped and stained coffee tables, have you ever thought about up-cycling? It’s not as hard as you think, and YouTube tutorials such as this one can easily walk you through it!
The Changes You’ve Never Been Brave Enough To Make
When it comes to big changes around the home, it’s so easy to get freaked out by them, and to back away from any sort of commitment. On the one side of the coin, you’ve got the worry that’s the project is going to break the bank, and on the other side of the coin, you really would love to upgrade parts of your home to see what it came out like.
So now is the time to make yourself brave enough to face some of the changes that you’ve never been brave enough to make, but that your home is crying out for. Something that we’re loving at the minute, and could improve your home for so many different reasons, is new patio doors.
Patio doors are put through the works through the years, from both the inside and the outside. Eventually, it will get to the point where the wear and tear is so obvious, but so is the fix.
If you were to check out Renewal by Andersen Window Replacement, you might just find the service that’s perfect for you. Not only would new patio doors make your home look completely incredible both inside and out, but you might even notice your energy bills go down a little.
Depending on how bad your patio doors were worn down, the draft they might have created could have been making your home far more difficult to heat up!
A Much Needed Clear Out
If there is one thing that has been on everyone's to do list since settling into a home and filling it with everything possible, it is a clear out. A clear out happens once in a blue moon, so we don’t blame you if it hasn’t happened for you just yet. But when the time comes for a clear out, you might as well dedicate a whole weekend to it, and make sure that you do it properly.
To begin with, you really should get rid of clothes that you’ve been hoarding for a while. For a lot of you, this will be the biggest clear out you need. You could take it to charity, give it to family, or sell it on Ebay!
Then, you need to think about the big Spring Cleaning that needs to be done. Deep cleaning all angles of your home, touching up areas of paint that might need doing, and just giving your home the TLC that it truly deserves.
Pick one room to really focus on during this Spring Clean. Rent a storage unit or use your garage temporarily to place items from that room in. Completely clear it out. Then paint it, consider replacing the trim or wallpaper, clean the floor very well, then put everything back in.
I hope these tips have given you some ideas to get your home sparkling clean!
