Order What You Want Online
We wondered what it would be like to get a Dylan's Candy Bar gift box shipped right to our home in Wisconsin, USA. We ordered a Chocolate Sweet Treat Tower, which is a “12-inch high tower that is truly a wonderful collection of some of the most delectable treats around.” I have a family of nine and thought this would be enjoyed by all. We hoped we ordered it early enough to reach our home on or before Valentine's Day.
Our Dylan's Candy Bar Chocolate Sweet Treat Tower arrived on Valentine's Day! What a wonderful day to receive this beautiful package! The packaging would be good for any occasion or person.
The website said it may arrive in separate boxes, but it arrived assembled all in one. It arrived on time and was very well packed with large bubble wrap bubbles that some of my children enjoyed popping! (Including my 16 year old son!) The candy in each box was wrapped in a sealed clear plastic bag. We opened each one and poured the contents into its box.
What Was In The Boxes
Level 1
The top level had Dark Chocolate Nonpareils. Here is a picture of my daughter, Miranda trying it out.
She loves to try new things and was pleased with the taste. To me, they are like round, somewhat thin, dark chocolate candies with white candy sugar sprinkle balls on top, like the kind you might eat on a sugar cookie.
Level 2
Chocolate-Covered Mini Sandwich Cookies were in the second level. Here is a picture of my brave son Maris, giving them a try. In this photo, you can tell how the lid of the next box is under the box, which helps them to stack.
This level is the one that most impressed me. The candies in this level were all different sizes and must have been made out of different cookies, because when you would bite into them, some had like a frosting layer between two cookies covered with chocolate and some did not. These were absolutely amazing! My children that tried this, really raved about them so much so, that my children that do not like to try new things just had to give them a try. This quickly became a family favorite and was the first box to be emptied!
Level 3
S'mores Popcorn was in this box. I normally don't care for sweet popcorn, but I tried it and was surprised to like it! It must be something to do with the combination of the tiny marshmallows mixed in with the dark chocolate flavored coating and caramel coated popcorn. And, it is absolutely the most beautiful popcorn I have ever seen. If you look closely at it, they drizzle it in a zig-zag fashion with something white colored over the chocolate parts, I don't know if it was white chocolate or something vanilla, but oh, it was good!
Here is Maris giving it a try.
Level 4
In the bottom and largest level, I was so pleased that it held the old family favorite (before we tried Level 2), Chocolate-Covered Mini Pretzels. These taste so much better than you can buy at your local grocery or discount store. You just have to try it to see what I mean.
Would you get them again?
I decided to ask my daughter, Miranda, if we should get one again. Her answer, “It was fun to get that box in the mail. It's like a present. I really want to eat those cookies right now, but next time we should probably get two so I can have more.” Makes perfect sense in a large family, right?
