When I am looking for a High School curriculum for our homeschool, I like to find one that covers multiple subjects and has a lesson plan to save me time in planning. So I was thrilled to review the Steadfast Year One Complete Bundle that covers 7 subjects in one curriculum package.

An Integrated High School Homeschool Curriculum
If you are looking for an integrated high school curriculum that covers a four-year history cycle to study from Creation to modern day, then the Steadfast Year One Complete Bundle is where you can start the journey. Over the course of four years, with all four bundles, your homeschool student would earn 17.5 credits.
If your child is looking to go to a four year college, as my oldest homeschooled child did (and graduated with a BA from college), all you would have to do is add Math, Science, and Foreign Language. Your state may require a bit more. In the state of Wisconsin (where I live), for example, Health is required whether going to college or not. The subjects are seamlessly integrated throughout the curriculum.
If you have a Bible, library access (for the suggested booklist, literature & composition and to borrow DVDs or download movies from the library) and a way to watch YouTube and look up computer links, everything else is included. In my opinion, this makes teaching high school to homeschoolers so lightweight and easy! Steadfast authors started writing in 2017 and launched to the public in 2023.

User-Friendly with Great Books
In our time of using this homeschool curriculum, we found it to be extremely user-friendly. From the time we got it, we were easily able to see what books were needed for the course in each of the booklists in front of the notebooks. Some of the books for the History & Humanities part of the curriculum are used for the entire four years.
The books are Great Books, such as The Iliad by Homer and Julius Caesar by Shakespeare for example. There is systematic composition instruction tied to the literature with a biblical worldview and apologetics. You can see the full Booklist for each year by clicking the “Booklist” button on the Steadfast website.
Faith-Based DVD Movie and YouTube Examples
One of the reasons our family homeschools is to avoid some bad content that may be shown in a public school. But with this faith-based High School curriculum, you need not worry. Miranda especially enjoyed the videos from Answers In Genesis.
Some other types of DVDs and Videos were on topics of history or were about books from the booklist, like some of the Great Books. Some are very long, movie length.

Some are very short. I noticed that many of these say “optional,” which is good if your local library doesn't have it and you can't find a place to stream or view it.
Homeschool Co-op Use
Since Miranda is currently in a homeschool co-op, I was curious how this curriculum would work for that situation. I learned that Steadfast Press has created lesson plans for co-ops, micro-schools, and groups! These have been field-tested for several years. Although they’re not on their website at the time of posting this article, they soon will be. That's great to hear! (Table Talk Discussion Questions for Moms is a resource that will also soon be available. So watch for that one too.)
The Steadfast Mission Statement
Sometimes it's nice to know the company mission statement as that can tell you quite a bit about them. Here is their mission statement:
“Steadfast trains high schoolers to think biblically, reason soundly, and write clearly, evaluating history, literature, and culture through the lens of the Gospel. Steadfast provides a Christ-centered, academically rigorous course of study appropriate for homeschool and private school use. Over the course of four years, Steadfast follows the flow of Western civilization from Creation to the 21st century, prioritizing spiritual formation and breadth of study. Steadfast prepares students to defend their faith, engage with culture, and make a difference in the world as Christ’s ambassadors.”
Handy Course Credits Chart
I am a very visual person and I love that the subjects covered and course credits is laid out for me with a handy chart in the front of each of the four thick “notebooks” to reference at any time. I don't have to remember which book it was in.
Blank Timeline
I personally would add to your order the History At A Glance Blank Timeline offered by Steadfast Press. It's a great visual way for students to learn with writing events as they learn them in the blank timeline.
In the front of the blank timeline, there is a page that suggests writing different topics in different colors placing them in sections of the page (top of page, above timeline, below timeline and bottom of page) based on the topic. For example, kings and kingdoms would be written or outlined in red just above the arrowed timeline on the page. This helps students look “at a glance” to see what was going on at the same time and form a better visual in their mind of that era.
Our Opinion
It is so much easier to homeschool your kids when they like the curriculum! What Miranda really likes is that the curriculum is broken up into some variations and she is not doing the same thing every day. She loves to read, so it's nice to have the books. Miranda also loves to watch videos, so that part has been really fun and she has not complained about a single one. I am so happy with the biblical worldview and that the authors keep it Christ-centered throughout the curriculum. Also, having the Course Credits Chart is the best! It's great to have this curriculum done for me, including the lesson plans. I think you should try the Steadfast Year One Complete Bundle.
