One of the best reasons to study close to home is because you don’t have to think about any moving costs. Moving across the country in order to do your degree can be incredibly expensive but if you’re deciding to study within travelling distance of your existing home, you may find that you’re able to stay put. Although you won’t have the feeling of staying in a student dorm, you definitely won’t miss out on making friends and attending parties. You’ll just be able to head home to your comfy bed afterwards. If you are going to be living in your current home or staying with your parents, chances are your living costs are going to be much lower. Finally, staying closer to home means you’ll be familiar with the area you’re studying in.
