There will eventually come a time when you are no longer here. As awful as it is to think about, by not thinking about it – you could be setting your family up for more stress and disaster when the time comes. Parenting isn’t easy and it is so important to look after yourself as well, as it will mean you are well-rested and able to be a better parent. Focus On Maintaining Your Marriage

We can end up being so focused on the kids and what they need, what they are doing, and what we need to do for them that we end up forgetting to put effort into our marriage and relationship. It can lead to resentment and loss of intimacy which is important in a relationship. You may not even realize it, but you stop spending quality time together, date nights become a thing of the past, and sometimes things in the bedroom may not pick up as it is just not on your mind. Remembering to bond with your partner after having a baby is vital and also finding ways to incorporate it into your new busier routine. It is hard but worth it. It may be that you do some of the things you love and can get a sitter ,but it also might be finding new things and new ways to keep the spark alive.
