Agents

Real estate agents are free to use if you are buying or renting a home. However, if you’re selling a home you’ll usually have to pay them some commission. It’s worth hiring agents when selling a home to take the stress out of marketing your property. Agents can also host viewings for you whilst you’re at work and they can help with much of the admin. When choosing an agent, check the types of properties they commonly deal in and read online reviews.

Solicitors

When buying and selling property, you need to be certain that the legal paperwork is done properly. Most people hire a solicitor to handle this aspect – it is often too complex for most untrained people to attempt themselves. It’s worth hiring a solicitor that has lots of experience in property law. Prices can vary so it’s worth shopping around.

Surveyors

Before buying a property, it’s worth hiring a surveyor. They can take a look around the property and make sure that there isn’t any damage that could result in future dangers or expensive future repairs. Surveyors charge different rates depending on the size of the property and the level of detail you want out of the survey. Always hire a chartered surveyor and collect multiple quotes to get the best price.

Mortgage brokers

Most people buying property require a mortgage. When shopping around for the best mortgage deal, it can sometimes be worth hiring a mortgage broker. Brokers often have access to deals you won’t find on the market due to having developed close relationships with lenders. You may have to pay a flat fee or commission to a mortgage broker, you’ll usually still save money over all (providing they’re an experienced and well-rated broker).

Professional movers

When moving into any new home, it’s worth getting a helping hand with moving your possessions. Whilst you may be able to get away with hiring a van and roping in a few friends to help, a moving company could be essential for large or long-distance moves. When hiring a moving company, do some research into their reputation and check that they deal with your type of move (most movers only cover a certain area and some may not want to transport certain items if they are particularly valuable/fragile).

Professional cleaners

Hiring professional cleaners could take the stress out of cleaning up your property after you move. A cleaning company can be particularly worth hiring when leaving certain types of rented accommodation – some landlords may not give back the deposit unless the home is left in immaculate condition, which could involve cleaning carpets or scrubbing floors. Do your research to find a cleaning company that specializes in these types of cleans.

Indeed! Moving into another house is such a tiring, we should seek professional help in order to estimate the space inside and what things should be placed inside the house. An interior designer is a must to make sure the art of the house.
