Winter Birch Decor Trend moose trees greenery design on box neededinthehome

What I am seeing as a popular trend for the winter is what I am calling, “Birch Decor.” It includes birch bark or wood combined with greenery to give a rustic and “homemade” look.

Note: Some links in this post are affiliate links, which means I receive a commission if you make a purchase. Affiliate relationships include, but are not limited to Amazon Associates, Walmart.com, and Etsy.

This look can be achieved in your main living areas by having a birch bark basket holding greenery on your coffee table. The curtains can be of natural hues with a green or chartreuse curtain scarf draping over it or including greens in tiebacks. The dining room table centerpiece could be a set of three birch bark log candle holders that could either hold actual candles or battery-operated tea light candles that flicker.

The wall hangings can have some birch trees painted in them or be cleverly designed of birch branches or the wall hanging could be an actual birch branch with some greenery. You can also hang wood slice ornaments that still have the birch bark on the outer round. These wood slices can then have beautiful words burned into or hand-painted on them like peace, hope, love, believe, joy, family and be hung with jute twine.

Here are some ideas of how it could look.

Birch Decor on your Front Porch

As you walk up to the porch, you may notice a bird house hanging nearby from Etsy vendor ArtoftheNorth.

The house number could have a lovely sign with birch on it like this one from Etsy shop owner MarionPollmann.

A large sign next to the front door could be painted with birch as this beauty from Etsy vendor CraftsMaam.

You can have this birch wreath with a friendly owl greet you at the door. This would look wonderful at any time of the year from Etsy shop WreathStreetFloral.

Birch Decor in your Living Room

As someone walks in your home, you can set the stage by having this candle burning from PrettyHonest Etsy shop.

The nice thing about Birch Decor is that it is neutral and plants are accepted in any color scheme. You do not have to repaint a room to incorporate this look! This Moose Decor Rustic Birch Vase from BoutiqueBarn on Etsy would make a great coffee table centerpiece.

You could set up some birch poles in a corner of the room like these from Etsy vendor CustomRusticStudio.

On a side table, you could have this lovely birch succulent planter from Etsy shop owner PlantCraftingCo.

You will really feel like you are in the forest with this amazing canvas art from Etsy vendor ArtTecPrints.

Another idea for a wall hanging is this simple Folhas Hanging Branch from Etsy vendor DoceLarHome.

Birch slices are a great way to hang something in a small space. Check out these from Etsy shop JeanBeanGifts.

You could have decorative and useful birch coasters sitting in convenient places about the living room from Etsy vendor DesignsbySylvan.

For the window coverings, you could have the birch look or go with a solid neutral color to complement the room.

Birch Decor in your Dining Room

You could have this set of three Birch Bark Log Candle Holders as a centerpiece for your dining room table from Etsy shop owner SeanRaineDesigns. These birch candle holders could either hold actual candles or battery-operated tea light candles that flicker.

On your dining room wall above the table, you could have this natural looking wall hanging from Etsy vendor CrafterJoesShop.

Birch Decor in your Bedroom

You could hang a large picture of birch wall art in your bedroom. I love this one as my favorite color is teal! From ArtFromDenise on Etsy.

Add a colorful birch throw pillow and the look will be complete from ArtFromDeniseDecor on Etsy.

When this look has been achieved, you can sit back and listen to the popular song Homemade by Jake Owen and feel right at home.

It’s interesting and seems really suitable for decorating the house, I would consider using birch to add some life to my home
