Why not tour a large, beautiful house from the early 1930s that has a beautiful garden to explore all around it? Devon singles will enjoy lovely outdoor views as it is located at the top of a sheltered valley, which works well for the lovely gardens. Here you will find a cafe to have coffee and food to complement your date as well. What a great place to say you had your first date. And, if everything works out, a lovely place to get engaged, and make the proposal that much more meaningful, since it was your first date.

Marwood Hill Gardens

This is like a secret garden tucked away in Devon valley.  It covers about 20 acres and has three lovely lakes.  You can see lots of colour in the bog gardens. They also have a National Collection of Astilbes in pastel hues and hydrangeas on the hillside that sparkle in the sun.  They garden with wildlife on their minds and provide habitats for them. Tucked away around the gardens are piles of branches and mounds of leaves that are home to lovely bugs and beasts, including butterflies and Kingfishers. Dating in Devon has never been easier as they permit you to bring a dog if you feel better having your dog with for the first few dates to see what your dog things of this new person in your life.  They also have a garden tea room and plant nursery.

Go to a Sculpture Garden

When you are Devon dating, if you enjoy seeing man-made art along with nature, why not go to a sculpture garden where you can see artistic statues along with the plant-life.  There are a few different places you could go for this. If you like to see a variety of different kinds of sculptures, go to the Broomhill Sculpture Garden.  If you like to see lots of gnomes, go to The Gnome Reserve and Wildflower Garden. Stonehay Gardens has some beautiful statues of humans placed strategically to look natural among their garden. There are so many choices of sculpture gardens in Devon to choose from.

Haven't found a fellow “green thumb” to date yet? You can always check free dating websites online to get started.
