When it comes to investing in a new bathroom, the size and shape of the room needs to be considered carefully. This is something your chosen builders can assist with; they will be able to advise on the best suites taking into consideration the dimensions of the room, as you don’t want to go for anything that makes the room look smaller, especially if your bathroom is quite small to begin with.

You should also look at the space you have and see if you can make any cost savings. Placing sinks, showers and toilets in their existing locations will keep costs to a minimum by removing the need for pipes and waste facilities to be moved.

The best builders will also be able to advise you on matters such as tiling and flooring, offering useful tips on what will work best for the space that you have available, including information on vanities and other key furniture pieces. There may also be some repair or plumbing work that is necessary as well, which is why it is a good idea to go for a company that offers it all. You will want to make sure they are experienced and reputable too, as the last thing you want is leaks or damage from poorly fitted bathroom suites!

What To Expect From A Bathroom Fitter

So now that you are considering taking on builders, you’ll want to know what they can do for your bathroom. A bathroom fitter can even revitalise your bathroom with just a few fittings. If you’re just buying from a shop, and only want the person to fit it and not design it, you’ll find a whole range of modern bathroom looks are available at a pretty good cost. You could have the traditional Roman bathhouse look; or you could go for the very striking metal designs that have rose to prominence in recent years.

However, there are a few things you should consider before bringing in your bathroom fitter. Space is one consideration – what do you have to work with? Do you have room for a bath and a shower? You don’t want to cram everything in – it’s better to have space to retain a calming atmosphere. Style is another – what is the overall theme you are going for? Will it fit in with the rest of the bathroom? And, finally, budget – you need to ask yourself what you can realistically achieve with the money you have available.

But even seemingly smaller additions can be done by builders. For example, a new window or even a new extractor fan could help improve the ventilation. By doing this, you’re reducing the risk of damp and condensation – making your property even more valuable to any potential homebuyers.
