For example, cook healthy meals, show them how to practice self-care, and assign them chores and responsibilities around the house. Be willing to show and teach them but then also back off and give your kids some space to become more independent and perform the actions on their own with a little guidance and supervision.
Get Happy Yourself
Your kids will be happier and healthier when you’re happy and healthy yourself and feel fulfilled in your home environment. Set a good example by taking good care of yourself and not letting your emotions get the best of you. A few ways you can stay healthy and well yourself is to get enough sleep, exercise daily, and use positive ways to manage your stress. Your kids will see what you’re doing to stay well and will want to mimic you.
