Clear up clutter

The first thing that can often make a big impact on your home is clutter. If you have a house that is full of Knick knacks and lots of clutter it is important for you to clear out things you don’t need. Many of us have a habit of keeping items we just don’t need, and this creates a lot of mess in the house and makes it harder to clean. Instead of 10 smaller ornaments on your mantelpiece consider 3 bigger ones. The less items you have around the house, the less time you’ll have to spend cleaning and the tidier your home will feel.

Dust the ceiling

Now and again the ceiling needs to be cleaned. It is very easy to forget about the ceiling of our home and often it becomes neglected. However with a wipe from a damp cloth or a dusting every so often you’ll keep your ceilings bright and clean and in turn the rest of the house will feel clean.

Touch up paintwork

The paintwork of your home goes from the feature colors on your walls to the gloss work on the skirting boards, and every little counts. To ensure your home stays looking fresh and new; be sure to hire a Painting service and refresh all of the paintwork now and again. This will make the world of difference and it will allow you to keep your house bright and fresh all year long.

Brighten the space

Lighting is key when trying to make your house feel clean and tidy. If you want to maintain a stunning home that feels spacious you should invest in bigger windows and consider switching from yellow tinted bulbs to natural white. More light means more space, and it will create an airier and more stunning home overall.

Reduce shiny surfaces

One of the enemies of a clean house is a shiny glass surface. Shiny gloss surfaces such as TV stands and mirrors look amazing and bring a touch of class to your home, however they also pick up dust very easily and are dusty and dirty looking in a matter of a day. To keep your home easy to clean, consider swapping for wooden or matte finish items instead. It might not seem like a lot but it will make all the difference.

You can use any of these tips this winter to spruce up your home and create a space that will stay looking clean and tidy all year long, even with a big family!
