Prevent the spread of viruses by hand-washing! Our large family of ten goes through a LOT of foaming hand soap! We have lots of pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, dogs, and a cat so we are washing our hands after touching them. Plus, I change a lot of diapers, so I am washing my hands often too! I am also in the habit of reminding my littles to wash their hands to prevent germs and dirt getting all over. I really can't run to the store as often as I need to refill my bottles and I want the healthiest option. Do you want to learn how to make your own foaming hand soap using Thieves® essential oil blend? Let's get started!

Foaming Hand Soap Using Thieves Essential Oil Blend Recipe
Thieves® essential oil blend is a powerful blend of Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Lemon, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary essential oils that has a rich, spicy aroma.
Gather Your Ingredients
There is a list of what you need lower in this article. Get everything together. Even if you don't have a large family, you may find it beneficial to make several bottles at once to save you time on busy days.
Select A Combination
When trying to decide what other oil to put with the Thieves®, it is a good idea to open both bottles and smell them together. If you like the scent, go for it!
Add The Ingredients
Open your empty foaming soap container. Add 5 Tablespoons of castille soap. Next add 8 drops of Thieves® essential oil blend. Then add 4 drops of the Young Living essential oil of your choice. Finally, add water, but not too full! Make sure you have room for the part of the foaming dispenser top that dips down a bit. Put your lid on and shake it up a bit to mix. Now give it a push. Out comes your foaming hand soap!
Share Your Foaming Hand Soap Using Thieves Recipe with friends!

Do you know how long this soap will stay “good”? When looking for a good soap to make I found a few that warned using water would give it a shorter shelf life. I’m okay with that and this soap is awesome but I want to be sure to use it as quickly as necessary.
Jennifer Stephens says
Could you make this using the Thieves Foaming Hand Soap instead of the Castile soap?
admin says
I have not tried it myself as I don’t know how many drops of Thieves is in that and I don’t want too much or too little of it. Let us know here in the comments what you think of it if you try it.
Nicole says
Great idea, I love the idea of reusing the foaming soap containers instead of purchasing new bottles every time we run out of soap. Plus, it’s very cost-effective! <3
Lauren Waddell says
I don’t have Thieves, is it okay to use something other than Thieves?
Brittni says
I noticed you pictured vitality oils, do you have to use those because of the plastic bottles or can we use the regular thieves?
admin says
Yes, it is ok to use Thieves from the regular bottle in these plastic bottles as well as the vitality version.
Christine Pellitteri says
Did you upcycle soap bottles, or did you purchase new bottles? If so, which ones did you buy? I’ve been making this wonderful soap, but I’ve been reusing old foaming soap bottles, and would like to know which ones you recommend. Thank you!
admin says
For this article, we reused old bottles. If you click on the link in the materials section or go to my Amazon page, NeededInTheHome, you can see the ones I recommend. I purchase those and fill them to give as a housewarming gift with the recipe to make more.

Love love love this foaming hand soap! Because of the thieves oil, it is both anti-bacterial and anti-viral, but at the same time it is so gentle on the hands!!
